Wee Kiat fell in love with girlfriend, Mickey, when he first saw her with a fresh, make-up-free face, which he said caused his heart to beat extremely fast.

Wei Keat shares his love story:

"We actually knew each other through a friend on Facebook..

"That time we were teasing about a friend profile pic and I was wondering who is this girl, she looked so 'ahlian'..

"So I was thinking why not I have an 'ahlian' girlfriend, it's not bad too. Then I started to add her on Facebook, asked for her number through my friend and she had agree to give me her number even thought she don't really know me.

"The first thing she did was to ask for my help to top up her phone balance and I agreed to do so.

"She had told me she had run away home for 8 months and now her mother was going to sent her back to Thailand.

"She agreed to give me her number because she thought that it was only to make friends. At that time I had the same thinking too.

"Then we had the first meet up at her house with some friends.

"Her mother did not really like me at that time because her mother thought that we were the ones who were making her daughter so bad.

"And her father chased us out through phone.

"But seriously speaking, she was the one who dared to show up without make up on her face. I was shocked when I saw her. I don't know why my heart was just like jumping a thousand times per second. I think I had really fallen in love with her.

"She had refused to accept me as her boyfriend. She said she was going back to Thailand soon, she also didn't know when she would come back.

"Or maybe when she came back I would already have another new girlfriend.

"I told her that I would wait for her no matter what.

"She accepted me as her boyfriend on my birthday on 30 august 2010.

"After 2 weeks ,she had left me to go back to Thailand.

"I was completely moodless and how I wished I would hold her back so she would not go... But, I could not.

"I call her almost everyday while she in was in Thailand.

"Between that, many things happened. I almost gave up on this relationship. But yes, finally she was back after 6 months. I was so so so happy that finally she was back.

"Like this, we were back together on March of 2011..

"Now her parents treat me like their real son, talk to me like a family member and she is happy that her family likes me so much even though I'm not the first boyfriend that her mother has seen before.

"But because of my jealousy and sensitivity, we have broken up 2 to 3 times.

"Now I are more than a friend but less than a boyfriend. I want her to be my one again, but I know I have to change my temper.

"But ya, she is still the one I will use my life to protect and love her as much as I can.
