Commuters occupy handicap area in MRT, ignoring woman in wheelchair
STOMPer kaypo says that a woman in a wheelchair was unable to move to the handicap area because of these two commuters who were hogging the space.
The STOMPer wrote:
"These two inconsiderate aunties parked their trolleys at the space reserved for the handicapped.
"As the train was relatively empty, the two aunties should move to other open space and not occupy the handicapped lot.
"A moment later, a woman in wheelchair boarded the train but the two aunties continued with their conversation, ignoring her.
"The area for the handicapped in the MRT is just like the one in the carpark, it should only be used for people who really need it."

i'm sure if there's a wheelchair bound commuter boarding, they won't be reluctant to give way.

most of the time, handicapped people do not want to have special treatment. people helping to push, a specific area for them. all they want is to live life as per normal like everyone else. mobility. not special treatment.

if the train is relatively empty, then whether where the wheelchair or two ladies is, is rather insignificant.
