STOMPer yummybearbear was turned off by a student who was so engrossed in his books that he did not give up his Reserved Seat to a mother and her baby.
The STOMPer wrote:
"On Thursday, February 2, I was on the Pasir Ris-bound train along the East-West line, when I noticed this youth who seemed to be in his mid-twenties.
"He was carrying an NTU sling bag and reading a textbook. He was also holding on to some notes.
"He sat down on the Reserved Seat and shortly after, this mother came in with her baby in a pram.
"She looked unstable whenever the train came to a halt.
"The student was so engrossed in studying that he was oblivious to her or maybe he just couldn't be bothered. Being an NTU student myself, I was turned off by his behaviour.
"I would rather our future generation be a courteous bunch of people than like him.
"Results aren't everything, dude."
