STOMPer Cheeyuan was on his way to work when he saw a man shouting in Hokkien and reeked of alcohol. The man eventually calmed down and went to sleep on the floor of the train.
Wrote the STOMPer:
"This happened this morning around 5.40am, on the train heading the Marina Bay.
"I boarded at Khatib, and was travelling to City Hall for work.
"There was this drunk man sitting on the floor of the last cabin, he reeked of alcohol.
"He was constantly shouting in Hokkien and I heard some vulgarities. I couldn't make out what he was saying as I am not well-versed in the dialect.
"Later, when the train reached Yio Chu Kang station, he settled down and took a nap. This was when I snapped a picture of him.
"I didn't take pictures earlier as I was afraid he would turn violent. For the same reason, no one dared approach him.
"I feel his behaviour will tarnish Singapore's reputation.
"He's an example of what is called a 'black sheep'.
"This is not to insult anyone but to encourage everyone to behave in an appropriate manner."
