Man makes himself cosy in MRT priority seat with neck rest as pillow

STOMPer Jaslyn was irritated and disgusted with this man who was occupying the priority seat in the MRT. He was sleeping soundly and even had a neck rest as a pillow, she says.

The STOMPer writes in an email (Aug 28):

"I was so irritated and disgusted when I spotted this guy occupying the priority seat.

"He was sleeping so soundly and comfortably with his neck rest pillow.

"It was 7.30am in the morning and the train was travelling towards Jurong East.

"Seems like he had already prepared himself for the long 'sleeping journey' ahead in his 'MRT cosy corner'.

"Shortly after I snapped this photo, the train became fully packed.

"Shouldn’t the priority seat be reserved for those who need it?

MRT should hired Marshall to fine this irritating ppl. But in vain they only fine those who ates in train. Where's the rules & regulation? By putting picture or signs makes no sense at all. Waste of time. What a shame.

"I was so irritated and disgusted when I spotted this guy occupying the priority seat."

-- Whoever said guys cannot sit on the priority seat?

"He was sleeping so soundly and comfortably with his neck rest pillow. It was 7.30am in the morning and the train was travelling towards Jurong East."

-- You said it. It was 7.30am in the morning and he was sleeping soundly. You think he'll notice if the train was packed or not?

"Shouldn’t the priority seat be reserved for those who need it?"

-- Got seat, people will sit. No one's gonna stand there and wait for old people or pregnant women to appear.

Conclusion: Another boliao stomper trying too hard to make a case.

Jaslyn, seriously, go f|_|ck yourself. The train seats are being shared by everybody so you bloody well can't expect everyone to cater to your goddamn periodic mood swings. Did it ever occur to you that the man could be lacking in sleep and needed that little amount of rest so that he could be less stressed at work? Why so selfish, woman? Next time take a f|_|cking cab and quit whining. That ought to solve your stupid bi+ch fits.

Well said, "churchy_fellow" and "STOMPURHELL"!! If there isn't any such needy people in the train, why can't others sit on the seats? Wasting seats..

SBS, SMRT & other public transport hv to solve this problem urgently, it defeats the purpose when u hv priority seats but no one cares. This woman is sitting on the priority seat! This is absolutely bad behavior & whoever sit on priority seats shld feel shame. We consider ourselves a developed country, even though we r not there yet. With these beautiful Singaporean behavior, we shld be quite far fm a considerate, harmonize country. If it's a good cultured society, people act & behave, simple things like that, giving up seats are not seen, very bad. Public Transport assoc. shld put up a big sign post stating "These are priority seats (draw bold arrow to point at the seats in case these guys are blind). If you are not old (55 yrs & above), not pregnant, no broken arms/legs, or handicapped. DO NOT SIT, otherwise you will be named & SHAME!!" Start a chart board at MRT stations/bus interchanges, put up those faces caught, think that will be pretty effective..what a inconsiderate commuters.
