Spot what the commuters are not doing? They are not giving up their seats to the poor man who was left standing from Bedok all the way to Clementi.

STOMPer NAA sent in this email and wrote:

Hey, why isn't anybody realised the woman siting on the priority seat. Seriously, she don't even look like a OLD LADY to me. Typical Singaporeans, please be kind enough to give seats.

Aiyo....I also kena before. Offered my seat to an old Ah Ma, who told me off that she is younger than me. Another incident, I came across a wrinkled Ah Ma who dyed her hair black, but I dare not offer her my seat.
Reason: If I offer her my seat, it only means that her dyed hair is not convincing enough lor.
Some old folks like to look young, so it is not wise to dampen their spirit by offering them seats.
Not easy to be a good samaritan you know.

agree with anygoodnews...i got told off by an elderly once saying that i looked down on him as if he's weak and incapable when i offered him a seat on the MRT...it's people like those that makes us think twice when we would like to be good Samaritans

You cannot ask someone to give up their seats or do something that suits principles. But is really not courteous for a person not to give their sit to an old person, ah, i imagine what if this uncle is my father or grandfather =(

Ever came across even if we give up seats to the elderly,some of them do not want it,don't know the reason. Mbe this ah pek is 1 of those.
