Schoolgirl pretends to sleep in priority seat when elderly woman boards train

STOMPer Disgruntled was shocked when this schoolgirl fell asleep immediately when the elderly woman boarded the crowded northbound train yesterday (Sep 3).

The office worker, in her 30s, told STOMP after she sent the picture via MMS.

 “The schoolgirl pretended to be asleep while occupying the priority seat on the northbound train (carriage #13) at 3.50pm while the elderly woman stood in front of her.  

“This is like priority seat abuse, because when I boarded the train from the town area, she was wide awake and turning her head. But she fell asleep instantly from Novena or Newton onwards when the lady boarded the train.”

are there any posts commenting on youths giving up seats for the elderly?? i seldom see youths helping elderly across the street or whatnot. even though model compos have so many of them "i was late cos i helped an elderly across the street" hahaha no link, i know.

You rather take a picture than wake her up. Ask people nicely to move to the rear of the bus, center of the car, don't lean on the poles.

You had your chance to play an proactive role. Stop posting such pic and do something!

headache? and why do ppl now a days care so much about sleeping all that..more like i found out that elderly people are taking it for granted that they should be given a seat like standing in front of the seat and giving you a look to make one feel guilty..how old is old?

Hey Disgruntled! Try asking her to give up her seat and what if she's ill on the inside and faints while standing, r u the, Disgruntled going to pay for her medical bills. Stop 'shooting' ppl, u dont' know their background.
