STOMPer Anonymous says this woman not only brought her pet dog in a bag onto a bus, she also was reluctant to give up the seat it was placed on to her child. The woman's boyfriend later claimed that the dog would not be an inconvenience because it was in a bag.
The STOMPer recounted the incident:
"I boarded bus 855 at the bus stop opposite VivoCity with my two young kids on June 14, a Thursday, at night.
"Most seats on the bus were occupied. I could only see a vacant seat beside this girl where she had placed a dog so I asked my five-year-old son to sit down.
"The space was enough for my son to sit but I still didn't feel comfortable for my son to sit beside her dog as my son has a sensitive nose so I politely tapped the girl's shoulder to ask her to place her dog on her lap.
"At this time, her boyfriend who is seated opposite asked me what's wrong with the dog seating there?
"I was pissed off with his attitude and told him that in the first place pets are not allowed in bus and my son has sensitive nose.
"He argued that the dog was already in a bag hence it wouldn't cause inconvenience.
"They later alighted at the Telok Blangah Block 40 bus stop."
