Chinese signs needed in trains for foreigners to obey rules
STOMPer SGTaxpayer wonders if we should have signs in Chinese on trains, so that foreigners can understand and follow the train rules.
The STOMPer said:
"This foreign student was happily making ‘lollipop sucking’ noises throughout the train ride.
"Passengers started to notice him making the disturbing sounds. He was holding the lollipop to show everyone that he is the one eating the lollipop.
"He sat on the reserved seat, the ‘No eating, No drinking’ sign right above him.
"This foreign student who probably came to Singapore to study, has no respect for our Singapore laws.
"Do our trains need to put up 'Chinese character' signs for foreign students? Would it help them to understand and learn about Singapore laws?"
