Her mother was her pillar of strength and listening ear. Nurul Zailani can never imagine growing up without her.

Nurul said in her tribute to her mother:

"A picture speaks a thousand words. We don’t know where to start at the first place and we don’t know what to say actually. But we will start by writing a message for you mum.

"I believed that every mother is special in their own ways. Same goes for my mum.

"But it’s just that we can’t see their uniqueness. The person whom I admire most in my life is my mum.

"All thanks to her, we were born on earth to see life. Mother is the place to be pampered. Her good deeds and pain of bringing us up can never be paid.

"When she was expecting with our small brothers, we could see the burden and the pain that she went through regardless of the hot or rainy days.

"Mum, you were fighting between life and death when you were giving birth to us. No one knew what the pain is like. No one knew what you were thinking at that time. And no one knew what will happened within that period of time.

"Anything could have happened during that critical time when you're giving birth to us. And now, we thank God that we still have you mum.

"We still remember those days you taught us how to walk step by step. How to talk in simple sentences and how to tie our shoelaces.

"You were there to see us grow and never to let go of our hands.

"When we're sick, mum will ignore her own health to sit by us. And when night time falls, she will sleep late to make sure we do not have high fever. She was there with us throughout the night.

"To help us say our prayers.

"She was also there to tell us, 'it’s alright, mum is here' when we have a nightmare.

"She was there every morning besides us ensuring we get out of bed so that we're not late for school.

"She was there to prepare our meals, wash our clothes, yet she never complained about doing them.

"She shower us with her love each day.

"Mum, you're always there, throughout the good and bad times. Thank you for all the things that you have done for us.

"Someday we will find ways to repay you back.

"Mum, through all these years, you educate and brought us up well. Even when we're behaving mischievously.

"You never gave up on us, even when we made the worst mistakes. You will always be there to pay attention and give us advice.

"Mum, we know that we hardly express our love towards you, we know we may never show it, but you need to know, that no words will ever be enough to tell you how much we are thankful for everything you have done.

"Mum, you will crack up jokes when we are sad, cheer us up when we lose or fail, sew up the hole on our pillows, knowing of something without us even telling you.

"You are like super woman, and that’s the special thing about you.

"I’m proud to say, you are the best mother a child could ever have.

"Mum, your love for us since we're young made us respect and love you more each day.

"Mum, you will sacrifice anything just to see us happy, not once demanding anything in return for all the things you've done each day. We can never pay back but only to learn,

as we admire the strength you displayed.

"Oh mother, you are our soul, our power, and our hero.

"You are more than just a compassionate loving person. And we are very lucky to have you and call you our mum.

"Your deeds are invaluable, you are the queen of all hearts. The answer to our happiness.

"What can make us happier than having your comfort and knowing that you will always be there for us.

"Thank you, mum.

"Mum, without you, we would never be here today and here we are full of hope, courage and power to face the world to become the person that you’d be proud of.

"Without you in our life, life has no meaning and we probably do not know what love is all about.

"As each day pass by, we pray that may God lengthen your life and bring you a good health, so that we will always be together with you and to not take you away from us.

"Once again, thank you mum for all the memories and times we spent together, and we are here to wish you a happy mother’s day and a happy birthday. You are really special in every way."
