Nikhita's mother stayed with her through thick and thin, when she was on the verge of depression.

"My mother deserves the Top Mum Award 2012 because basically, she's always been there for me.
"Since young, mom took me for classes after classes everyday without fail. My mom stopped working when I was in Primary Two, back in 2005. She has been with me through my problems with friends, school and so much more.
"When I was in Primary Six, I was on the verge of depression. If my mom had not stayed with me through thick and thin, I would not be the person I am today.
"Although I am only 15 years old, I have grown to be more outgoing, friendly and some of my friends even say that I am lively. I only became so in Secondary One.
"I would not be who I am today if it weren't for my mom. (:
"I love her so much. My mother told me that no matter what happens, she would always be there for me. When I didn't do well in something, she'll always say: 'Nikhita, it's okay. I still love you. There's always a next time.'
"She is the one who motivates me to do better. She's the reason why I want to do well in my up-coming exams, so that I can make her proud. She has many problems of her own, be it health or others, but she still always put me first.
"I am her one and only child so she'll do anything to make me happy. She always wants the best for me. When I grow up, I want to do well in my job and make lots of money so that I can giver her anything she wants. She deserves every good thing in the world.
"We do have our mother-daughter fights, but in the end we make up and say we love each other. When I become a mother, I'd want to follow her footsteps in parenting. She always tells me that she may be a good mother but she wants me to be an even better one in the future. (:
