Siti Haniza admires the strong and confident woman her Mum is, who always cares and provides for her and her siblings.

Siti writes:

"My mum, Mdm Hajah Edah Binte Haji Yaim is the greatest gift my siblings and I have ever had. She is a woman of courage and admiration.

"For the past 31 years, I have seen her go through ups and downs in life but she never once did complain about the hardship she went through.

"She takes care of us four sibilings and her two grandchildren without fail. A woman of few words, she shows her care, concern and love to us with actions.

"Being the rebellious kid amongst my siblings, she did not lose hope or give up advising me to change my ways and be independent.

"Thanking her is not enough as she is the one who extends her hand to me whenever I am in deep trouble. She is also the one who has been guiding my daughter ever since she was born. My daughter's bond with her is like a mother and daughter instead of a grandmother and granddaughter. She is always by our side.

"There was one event where she went to perform her haj, and that was when I felt lost as she was not by our side. Never have we experienced a time when she was not around us.

"No matter how tired or ill she is, she will still ensure that our meals are prepared. Being a good cook, she is adored by everyone who loves and craves her superb dishes. Even though she can be so annoying at times, her nagging is her way of showing how much she cares. Her bond with her family shows how important she is to everyone.

"I really admire how she manages her life as well as the confidence and independence she possesses to live her life to the fullest. She is a strong person with strict principles.

"Mum, how I wish I could say I love you infront of the whole world. No words or tears can describe how much I LOVE YOU. Thank you for enduring all of your children's nonsense, especially mine.

"Thank you Mum for your great effort and love you have provided us."
