Tanjong Pagar Town Council said that the lorry parked at the compound was involved in loading and unloading of equipment for a Grassroots event held at the amphitheatre for which that was the only access for vehicles.
This was in response to STOMPer Stallone's post that the lorries parked near a neighbourhood mall had obstructed the pedestrian walkway.
A Town Council spokesperson said:
"We would like to thank STOMPer Stallone for the feedback on "Lorries parked near neighbourhood mall obstruct pedestrian walkway"
"The lorry parked at the compound was involved in loading and unloading of equipment for a Grassroots event held at the amphitheatre for which that was the only access for vehicles.
"We will constantly monitor the situation to ensure that there are no unauthorised vehicles parked at the compound."
