This video clip featuring Zhang Xu, a Chinese man impersonating foreigners speaking English, introducing their own countries (Japan, South Korea, Britain, India, France, Italy, the United States, Russia and China) has become a hit on the Internet.
At the beginning of the video, Zhang Xu introduced, "Hello everyone, I'm a young guy from Northeast China. Today, I'm going to imitate how foreigners introduce their countries in English. I hope you will like it."
This video was posted by Zhang Xu on Feb 11 and soon garnered over 770,000 views on Chinese video sharing website Youku, with over 18,500 comments spanning across 615 pages. It is also popular on Chinese microblogging service Sina Weibo, with its microblog post having been forwarded over 23,000 times with over 3,100 comments within 24 hours.
With this, Zhang Xu has earned the nickname 'Dongbei (Northeast) English Brother'.
