Thumbs up! Lion dance troupe help to shift tree trunk off AMK road

STOMPer Kelvin was heartened by the sight of members of a lion dance troupe helping to shift a tree trunk off the road in Ang Mo Kio earlier this morning, as it was blocking the traffic flow there.

The STOMPer wrote:

"These photos were taken today around 11 in the morning (Feb 04) near Ang Mo Kio street 42, in front of block 430.

"Saw this group of helpful people from the lion dance troupe, by the name of Xuan Wu, shift a big tree trunk off the road as it was blocking one of the lane, obstructing the traffic.

"It'snice to see people from a lion dance troupe helping and contributing to the society, instead of fighting and creating trouble."

This is clearly a good piece of news no matter how you look at it. Yes, Singapore may not have the Good Samaritan Law. But since the tree is obstructing the traffic, why not make a small effort to shift the tree away from the road? It would benefit you and all the drivers.

They can choose to go another lane and drive pass if they want.. Yes Law may have some fault/loophole... but they are trying to be nice and helpful.
