Condo resident gives notice with bad English a C+
STOMPer Tim says this poorly-written condominium circular has been corrected and graded by a resident, who awarded it the paltry grade of C+.
The STOMPer wrote:
"This is a circular notice being placed in every lift to inform residence at Chestervale condominium located in Bukit Panjang by the management.
"The English is so 'good' that a resident has corrected it and made fun of it, grading it like an English spelling and grammar test. Lol."

It is wrong to use "was" because at the time that the circular was sent out, the machine had not been repaired so it "is" malfunctioning.

not wrong to state was malfunctioning because it is already a past tense.

Well, isn't the pot calling the kettle black? After the "correction", there are still glaring grammatical errors. For example, the first sentence should read as : "the card reader is malfunctioning", not "was" .
