'Ghostly' figures seen walking away from incense burning site

STOMPer CNYGhosts took a photo of a man burning incense paper at an HDB carpark in Tampines and later found what seemed to be two ghostly figures on the picture.

Said the STOMPer:

"This happened at about 1.15am on Jan 31, in front of Block 394 Tampines Ave 7.

"I took a snap shot of a man burning incense paper outside my flat and was surprised to see a fast moving whitish patch moving across the screen.

"It was bright.

"I didn't see anyone else with the man.

"I glanced around and there were no other people. Am I so lucky to spot the unthinkable?"

For nothing go and take people burning incense for what? If those are really ghosts, you wouldn't end up with good luck for snapping their pictures.

@ ChelseaxD: "burning incense paper in the middle of the night? obvsly is edited lah"

Agree that the "evidence" has been fabricated. In any case, the so-called 2 "ghostly figures" are made to be so tall (by intent, or else bad Photoshop skills) that the whole package resembles a white horse with its head strategically hidden by palm fronds. Having to hide something behind something is an instant giveaway of a visual hoax. (Wonder why Stomp loves being a hoax charity ...)

That being said, some people do burn incense paper in the middle of the night (eg. past 1am or even 3+am) during certain periods of the year. Often, there are unrelated folks simultaneously conducting the ritual burning at different spots. I've always thought that this might be an observance of some sort of Taoist "spiritual hour". I'm actually rather curious about the background behind the practice.

You snap him for what? He didn't break the law by burning on the ground.
