The owner of the yong tau foo stall at HDB Hub's Kou Fu foodcourt has been reminded by the NEA to keep food properly in containers and to discard items contaminated by insects.
In an earlier article, STOMPer Jas had spotted a cockroach crawling on a piece of food at the yong tau foo stall.
A spokesperson for the NEA wrote:
"We refer to the STOMP article 'So gross! Cockroach found crawling on food at stall in HDB Hub' on Jan 10, 2012.
"The said stall located in the Koufu Food Court has a fortnightly pest control treatment regime in place.
"Our recent checks at the stall and the rest of the foodcourt did not uncover any pest infestation. We have however reminded the operators to keep all food properly in containers and to discard any food contaminated by insects.
"We thank STOMPer Jas for the feedback."
