STOMPer dangerousjunction saw the aftermath of an accident which happened along Bukit Batok Avenue 5 at around 5am. The STOMPer is concerned about the safety of this particular stretch of road.

Said the STOMPer:

"Serious accident at Xiao Guilin Road.

"Sad to see an accident just outside my house at the super dangerous bend of Bukit Batok Ave 5 near xiao Guilin.

"A person was injured and had to be extracted from the vehicle with the help of SCDF at around 5am.

"While I applaud the efficiency of our rescue vehicles, which arrived in around 5-10 minutes, I am really concerned about this dangerous bending road.

"With lots of blind spots and insufficient traffic lights, it really is an accident waiting to happen, especially at night when cars are faster.

"I really hope LTA would do something about this road, as I heard the residents say accidents happen frequently on this road.

"And I appeal to all drivers to really be careful when driving past Xiao Guilin."

STOMPer John was jogging in the area when he saw SCDF personnel clearing up what looked like a oil spill and wrote:

"Accident near the Little Guilin park.

"There was a road closure in front of Little Guilin due to an accident and oil spill in the early morning on the second day of Chinese New Year (Jan 24).

"Was jogging past the area when I saw a taxi and car after the accident. On my way back, the wreckage was cleared up and the SCDF personnel were cleaning the road."
