Flash flood hits Tanglin Road

STOMPer Siew Hock sent in these pictures of flooding at Tanglin Road at about 2pm today (Jan 20).

He said:

"Water flowing down from Dempsey Hill is flooding the road.

"Likewise Tanglin Road before Margaret Drive is flooded, as the drain is unable to contain the fast flowing water.

PUB has issued a statement, informing of flash floods at Veerasamy Road and Thomson Road at 2.30pm.

It said:

"Due to heavy rain, flash floods have occurred at Veerasamy Road and Thomson Road.

"Motorists are advised to avoid these roads."

That's a VOSONIC GV-6300 digital video recorder, whose LCD viewing-screen has been turned off.

In a vehicle, you can mount it onto the dashboard or from the sun-visor, & power it via the cigarette-lighter. With a battery pack, you can also mount the device on a bicycle.

Floods seem to be a common sight here. But I stay pay trust on the authorities credibility in containing a problem. So far they are quick to react and it shows improving results.

Ya lor. It can get messy on rainy days. So stressful. But TV news said the flash floods came n went in about 15-20mins. We must top the world's fastest flood record if it is measured by the speed a flood subsides. While people really had 2 kayak 2 work. We jus photoshop ours for laughs. Not so bad la.
