Spotted in Johor: Poster of S'pore politician used for shade

STOMPer Marco Polo was travelling in Johor Bahru when he came across this banner depicting Senior Parliamentary Secretary (Manpower and Education) Mr Hawazi Daipi, used for shade at a fisherman's lean-to.

The STOMPer wrote:

"Last week I visited a friend who lives in a Malay kampung at the mouth of the Sungei Skudai in Johor.

"Her father is a Malay fisherman and her mother is a Singaporean Chinese.

"I asked her why posters of Singaporean politicians were put up in her village and she said that her family admires Singapore politicians.

"I saw this large poster of  Mr Hawazi Daipi, the Sr Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Manpower put up at a fishermen's rest hut near the river.

"Other than the Malaysian national flag, I did not see any posters of Malaysian politicians in this kampung."
