No access at Bayfront MRT as staff work to clear up ponded water

STOMPer Rachel came across this video online, showing staff at Bayfront MRT Station working to clear up large amounts of water this morning (Jan 16).

emakengkau, who uploaded the video on youtube, made the following comments:

"This incident occurred this morning on Jan 15, 2012. I was on my way to Clark Quay and encountered this at Bay Front MRT Station at about 11.20am to 11.45am. I initially really thought they were just cleaning, since I am not local, and thought the incident to be interesting and amusing so I spontaneously took a video of it, out of novelty.

"No harm is intended. Just a Public Service Announcement (PSA).

"Also, after being asked not to record any further with my camera, I soon asked an MRT employee (who looks like he's in charge), 'why is there a flood?' and he said, verbatim, 'we still do not know why there is so much water.'

"Everyone couldn't get to the ticket machines at this station during this whole cleaning session.

"Those cleaning vehicle-things (sorry, I don't know the term for this) look fun to ride on though!"
