How far will LionsXII go? They barely made it with 0-0 draw against Kedah

STOMPer Meow wonders how far the LionsXII will go after drawing 0-0 against Kedah in Saturday's match (Jan 14). This comes after their opening 1-0 loss against Kelantan on Jan 11.

Said the STOMPer:

"The LionsXII still have a chance in the Malaysian Super League after they drew against Kedah.

"But they could have done better, as in the 22nd minute, midfielder Shahdan Sulaiman could have scored a goal with his header -- but he didn't.

"The LionsXII now have one point (their first point), but they lost 1-0 against Kelantan previously.

"Granted, this was an away match in what was described as a 'hostile home crowd' of 12,000 at the Darul Aman Stadium.

"However, granted, the Kedah side was missing several regulars through injury. So our team was lucky?

"Their next match is against Kuala Lumpur at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Tuesday, Jan 17.

"This is the capital of Malaysia we're talking about. Can our LionsXII make it?"

This is the last season we hoping on Singapore players.. If still same also den sorry we will not trust the players talent and lose hope for spore. So pray hard. Every sporean fans depends on u guyz.. Dun give our hope down. Make back the team spore spirit like 1994 season match..

Sundram chose the squad w/o any striker. How can a team proceed if they just know how to defence but not score. Sundram depend heavily on one striker strategy. Look at the match against Kedah. When Agu injured, he was panic and send in another defender w/o any striker upfront. with this kind of mentality and lack of goal poacher, LIONXII is destined to be failed.

To hardmeistro, if u new to soccer we can forgive u but a soccer guy knows that a score of 2:1 is never the same as 1:0, and as with other score. Minus the scoreline only reveal the ignorance in the beautiful game and so forth.

Night still young, season just start only. Agree with Maiboliaolah, why go back to MSL when we can actually do something like what Malaysia did. Send them to other countries football league, like Slovenia, not a prominent country but I believe their standard is there. Maybe the Australia football league. We need to broaden the mind of the people, not just everything Malaysia and Singapore. More bi-literal relationship with other countries..
