Is this allowed? Flamingos kept as 'pets' in big house

STOMPer RichIndon was walking along Thomson Road when he spotted flamingos in the garden of a private house. He wonders if people are allowed to keep such animals as pets in Singapore.

Elaborates the STOMPer:

"I was walking along Joan road and came across a private house, with a huge front garden that had pet flamingos! One was white and the other was pink. The owner has expensive taste."

All flamingos species are listed in CITES Appendix II.

http://www.ava.gov.sg/AnimalsPetSector/CITESEndangeredSpecies/

* Animals and Birds Act:
Requires an import license for all live animals, birds and fish - CITES and non-CITES species

* Wild Animals and Birds Act:
Prohibits the capture & export of native fauna, & regulates import of wildlife

@bluehawk168 - Birds fall under the category of animals. Mammals, reptiles, birds, fish, amphibians and invertebrates. All these 6 are sub categories of animals.
