Foreigner jaywalks, then stares at driver as if he's 'king of the road'

STOMPer alvinqjm felt annoyed when after graciously stopping his vehicle to allow two foreigners to jaywalk across the street, he received stares from the man as if to say that he had the right of way.

The STOMPer said:

"While I was turning right to Changi Lorong 101 from Joo Chiat terrace, I saw a cyclist, cycling against the direction of the road and a Caucasian couple crossing the road illegally.

"I stopped politely and allowed the couple to cross.

"However, the Caucasian guy stared at me, trying to tell me that he owns the road and that they had the priority to cross the road at their wish.

"What's wrong with this guy!

"Does he think that he is the king of Singapore?!"

This ***** taxi driver looks he tried to scare them by driving fast towards them to jam brake. More like he is trying to "teach them a lesson". Politely my @ss. Even foreigners can tell that Singapore taxi drivers are horrible.

Pedestrians do have the right of way. Judging from the photo, this happened in a small street where drivers are mandated to drive cautiously. If you hit him you'd be the one charged. Please do a refresher on your driving theory.

I bet you sped towards them then jam brake right in front of them. That's why atypical drivers will do. And worst still if you're a taxi driver. Right?
