Despite feedback about the human congestion, huge crowds of pedestrians were still spotted at the Bugis Junction crossing. Some were even seen climbing over barricades and running across the road.
Several STOMPers have previously written in about the situation.
STOMPer Lela hopes that the authorities will assess the situation to ensure the safety of pedestrians is not compromised, while STOMPer Jason thinks it is high time something is done to ease the pedestrian traffic crossing.
STOMPer Rachel also sent in a video showing pedestrians crowding in the middle of the road near Bugis Junction as they waited for the traffic light to turn green.
STOMPer Maddy says:
"Massive human jam at Bugis Junction.
"I was shopping as usual at Bugis Village three days ago. I then decided to head to Bugis Junction so I crossed the traffic junction.
"I was caught in a massive human jam in the middle of the road. The space was very minimal thus the people from both sides were pushing each other.
"Some even climbed over the barricades and ran across the road.
"Bugis is a place which many patronize. Something has to be done about this traffic junction."
