PRC parents enraged when shop owner hits their daughter's hand for touching items

A quarrel broke out at a shop along Orchard Road when the shop owner apparently hit a little girl's hand with a pair of tongs because she had touched some items on sale.

A STOMPer who witnessed the incident, said:

"My family and I were walking around Orchard last night (Dec 25) when we walked past this 3 for $10 shop and happened to chance upon this scene.

"The daughter of a PRC family touched the items in the shop and the shop owner took something which looked like a pair of tongs and hit the girl's hand.

"The father of the girl shouted at and even challenged to fight the shop owner.

"The the mother and grandmother also shouted at the shop owner.

"The shop owner retorted, saying 'She's not supposed to play with these' in Chinese.

"The mother of the girl demanded an apology, but the shop owner just simply walked off.

"The family left immediately after that. Who do your think is the one at fault?"

How stupid are you people? They might be foreigners but no one has the rights to hit a child that doesn't know much. The parents were acting like any parent would. And these foreigners come here to work and make a living. Why can SGeans move out to other countries to find a better life but others can't come to our land and make a living. Why do you hate all these people from China and you're totally fine with the white people here? Stop complaining about them getting jobs if you don't put an effort. You can't generalize all of them and conclude that all of them are bad. Some SGeans do some dumb shit too. Would you like people to classify you and the bad SGeans together? If they are to be flamed just because they're defending their child, you people should be executed for being brainless and having no values.

TheCueUp: I m curious by your accusations towards PRCs. How do they prevent u from practicing your culture? What do u mean by them depriving u of opportunities? They are doing jobs that most singaporeans don't even want to consider! Please enlighten me. Oh & how have they invaded our country? U mean the same way as how we Singaporeans have 'invaded' Australia, US, Canada or even Shanghai & Beijing?

Simply put it, the shop owner does not have Customer Service Mind Set. So let the shop business goes down the drain, eventually CLOSE DOWN.

All Singapore need is relevant education so that younger singaporeans will see the importance of diversity in the country. MAYBE these young Singaporeans likes the N.Korea system? unlikely right?
