Fire breaks out at Geylang coffee shop

A fire occurred this morning at a coffee shop at Geylang Lorong 39.

The SCDF used a water jet to put out the fire within five minutes.

STOMPer stopmer sent in two photographs of the fire.

A spokesman from SCDF said:

"SCDF recieved a call at 11.52am this morning (Dec 5) informing them of a fire that broke out at a coffee shop at Geylang Lorong 39.

"A fire engine, a red rhino, two fire bikes and an ambulance were deployed.

"At the point of arrival, the SCDF found that the stove and ventilation duct was on fire.

"The crew extinguished the fire with a water jet within five minutes.

"Staff evacuation had already taken place prior to the arrival.

"No one was hurt in the fire."
