Large crowd at Bedok condo launch: Students say they are paid to queue

Out of the hundreds of people who queued up for the launch of Bedok Residences, a sizable number were found to be students, who said they had been paid to stand in line.

In an earlier article, STOMPers chin ming, PN and XXX had expressed surprise at the number of people queueing up at the launch. The queues had apparently started as early as Sunday night (Nov 19).

STOMPer Stefanie commented:

"Apparently, many are students are doing part-time work for property agents to queue up there. The queues therefore do not necessarily signify the actual demand for the property.

"I also wonder whether is it against any ethical protocol for property agent to engage students to queue up."

Queueing to buy million dollars home. My gosh! These rich Singaporeans are really distorting the wealth in Singapore. Have a heart for those sharing a three room HDB rental flat with another family. This is life in Singapore.
