Iluma mall a 'ghost town': Shops closed and building deserted
STOMPer Niao Niao and friends were surprised to find the Iluma mall near Bugis Junction nearly deserted and many of its shops closed.
The STOMPer said:
"Early this week my friends and I went on a shopping trip to Bugis. We decided to drop by Iluma.
"To our surprise, Iluma was deserted.
"You can see from the photos that many shops were closed too.
"The only shops that were open were the arcade and some of the shops in the bridge link to Bugis Junction.
"Iluma is a relatively new shopping centre but now it seems to have become a ghost town."
STOMP understands that the mall has been acquired by CapitalMall Trust earlier this year, and may be undergoing a revamp soon.

Meanwhile, it's business as usual for other tenants, including FilmGarde Cineplex, K Suites, Arcadia and eight restaurants on the upper floors (L4, L5 & L7). Astons has also started operations at their newly-opened outlet at iluma on Level 5!
Please do bear with us in the interim and we look forward to your continued patronage.
Do also check out the new iluma when our enhancement works are completed in mid-2012.
