Orchard Rd X'mas decor looks so flimsy: Are they safe?

It's that time of the year again when Christmas decorations are put up on trees along Orchard Road. STOMPer ShazwanTan is concerned about whether these flimsy-looking ornaments might be a danger for pedestrians and motorists travelling beneath them.

The STOMPer said:

"These decorations were hung at Orchard Point, on trees and on poles.

"I know that the decorations are beautiful, but if they fall, they may hurt people.

"The elderly and children are especially prone to more serious injuries.

"Who makes sure these decorations are safe?"
