Fallen tree 'bridge' at East Coast park removed and broken railing fixed: PUB
A tree fell across a canal in East Coast Park and took down a railing. It was even used by a daring angler as a perch for fishing. The fallen tree has since been removed and the railing fixed, informs the PUB.
Said the PUB spokesperson in an email (Nov 2):
"We refer to the posting on STOMP 'There’s a new ‘bridge’ at East Coast park: Daring angler uses fallen tree as perch'.
"The fallen tree has been removed and PUB has replaced the broken railing on 28 October 2011.
"PUB welcomes feedback and members of the public are encouraged to report such cases to PUB through our 24-hr Call Centre at 1800-284 6600."
