There's a new 'bridge' at East Coast park: Daring angler uses fallen tree as perch

A tree fell across a canal in East Coast Park and took down a railing. STOMPer AI also saw a man going fishing while perched on it, and he also crossed to the other side.

Said the STOMPer:

"There is a 'Tree Bridge' at the canal beside ECP B1 carpark along Fort Road.

"These pictures show a bridge made up of a Casuarina tree which had collapsed across a canal at the B1 carpark off ECP.

"From the look of the brown leaves and bark, the tree fell several months ago.

"Even the railing has collapsed. Is NParks even aware of this?

"The bridge had also hosted a guy who was seen with a fishing rod sitting in the middle of the fallen 'Tree Bridge'.

"Later he was even seen walking across the tree to the other side while balancing with both hands full, holding a bag and rod."

The stunt(fisher)man has a really good sense of balance to walk across the Casuarina tree trunk.

Btw NParks is aware of this tree-fall. Perhaps NParks (the tree owner) is negotiating with PUB (the canal owner) on who is responsible for removing the trunk & repairing the canal railings.
