STOMPers have reported seeing people clad in black performing stunts on Orchard Road and at Bugis Junction. But not everyone is impressed enough by these 'ninjas'.
STOMPer Pin Koh writes:
"A couple of stunt-doers stylishly clad in their ninja costumes were seen climbing on top of trees and bus shelters, executing eye-catching flips, and jumping across the streets.
"At rush hour, they were seen giving out shuriken flyers to passers-by so as to redeem a free shuriken magnet from the Nokia telco stores.
"The crowd had all eyes on them - awe-struck by the skilful manoeuvrings of the ninjas.
"Now that is something of a different sight to be seen in the streets rather than the mundane human traffic."
STOMPer Vimja was less impressed:
"Publicity stunts are rife on the streets of Singapore these days.
"To really stand out and leave an impression, a publicity stunt has to be good.
"And these 'ninjas' just aren't up to snuff! They fail at their balancing act, need more than one try to climb a tree and just lack the precision to impress.
"If you want good publicity, then invest more and make sure it's good enough to sell your message. If not, it just backfires."
