STOMPer Yock was shocked to find out that a stranger had boldly taken his friend's paid MacBook Air that was on the cashier's counter at Challenger in Vivo City, and left with it.
This incident follows a similar one where a man was caught on CCTV taking a mobile phone right under its owner's nose.
The STOMPer recounted:
"This is a captured photo of the CCTV footage at VivoCity's Challenger Superstore.
"Circled in Red is a MacBook Air 13 belonging to a friend of mine.
"She had put it at the counter while signing for her purchase and left without it.
"CCTV footage showed that the man indicated in the photo, who was 2 or 3 persons behind in the queue took the MBA and put it into his bag.
"The police was alerted and this case is now classified as theft.
"The footage showed that the theft was committed at about 6.20pm yesterday (Oct 5).
"Obviously, the thief was aware that my friend had forgotten to take the MacBook and this act of dishonestly is utterly disgusting.
"I hope that justice can be done!"
