It is hard to be a good Samaritan in Singapore, laments STOMPer bubble77, who stopped the car to remove a piece of red plastic which was a potential road hazard. While doing so, the STOMPer was honked at by other drivers instead.
Said the STOMPer (Sep 25):
"When I stopped at the traffic light, I saw a piece of red plastic in the yellow box.
"As I needed to do a right turn up to the PIE, I alighted and tried to run over to pick up the road hazard.
"However I was horned loudly at by other drivers.
"I was trying to help yet I was accused of being a road hazard instead.
"It's hard to be a good Samaritan in Singapore...haiz...
"The road is along Paya Lebar road after Caltex, before Shell.
"It is the big yellow box at the junction, where cars can turn right towards the PIE Tuas and turn left towards PIE Changi and straight towards Geylang."
