S'porean is champ in Japan's 'Jubeat' music arcade game contest

Yes, it's not an Olympic gold medal, but taking top spot in a Jubeat competition held in Japan is still a mighty achievement. STOMPer Uncle_Jonas feels young local gamers deserve more recognition for their talents.

Jubeat is an arcade music game that tests gamers' reflexes. The game features a four-by-four grid of panels that light up in time to music. Players have to hit the lit panels at precise moments to score points.

The STOMPer wrote:

"While surfing a gaming website, I stumbled upon the amazing achievement of a young Singaporean, who goes by the gamer nickname 'Zeus'.

"He won a Jubeat Championship after beating other strong contestants from all over Asia.

"I wonder why this wasn't reported anywhere by the local media. I think he deserves compliments for his achievement and efforts.

"This serves as a great motivation to local gamers, so that they too can achieve great heights in overseas competitions.

"Well-done Zeus!"
