STOMPer naturecalls is fascinated with this app for smartphones that allows you to use the washroom in people's houses for a small token fee.
In the video introducing the CLOO app, users can see the available toilets in the vicinity that belong to friends or friends of friends.
They can then send a request to the host for permission to use their washroom.
If the host agrees, the pee-ee goes to the home, gives a token sum and uses the washroom.
Afterwards, the pee-ee can rate the facilities on the app.
The STOMPer wonders if this app can ever take off, especially in Singapore:
"How many times have you been desperate for a nice clean toilet while out in public, only to find that there are no shopping malls or public buildings around?
"Well, with CLOO, a new app for smartphones, you'll be able to use anyone's pristine toilet in their home, simply for a token amount.
"CLOO' is a community of registered users who choose to share their bathrooms and make city-living easier, while earning a small profit. Using social media connections, CLOO' shows what friends you have in common with the host, turning a stranger’s loo into a friend of a friend’s loo.
"Would you dare to use a stranger's toilet?
"This app might have some novelty value for overseas users, but in Asia, our homes are extremely private, and people much more reserved.
"I doubt this app will find any followers in Singapore, don't you?"
