Be careful in pet shops: Unleashed dog charges at shopper and bites him

STOMPer Anon would like share his cautionary tale of how he was bitten by an unleashed dog while browsing in a pet store in central Singapore.

The STOMPer recounted:

"This happened on Sunday (Sep 4) in a pet shop in the central area of Singapore.

"I was looking at cat food when this thing came out of nowhere, jumped up and bit me on my leg.

"Lucky I was wearing jeans.

"It was quite a small dog, and I think it is a personal pet.

"The owner apologized to me and at that time, I could not see how bad the bite was, so I accepted his apology and left.

"It was only after I went back that I saw how bad it was.

"I would like to warn the owner, and the public to be careful when there are animals around.

"If it had been a small child who was bitten, things would have been a lot worse."

Go get the anti-tetanus shot right now! And find out if the dog has rabies or not. You might need an anti-rabies shot too.

Yours looks infected bro. Go for a check up or jab. Do let the pet shop owner know too. If the dog could give such an infection from a bite it's most likely carrying a disease and might affect the other dogs/pet food that are present. Take care!
