Bringing pride to S'pore: National team wins 2nd in World Dragon Boat Championship

Despite two of their teammates fasting for Ramadan, the National Youth Under-18 boys team won second place in the recent World Dragon Boat Championship 2011.

The team consists of 25 athletes and 3 officials -- all under 18 years of age, the youngest member being only 15 years old.

Two Malay-Muslim boys in the team had to observe the fasting month of Ramadan while competing, but that did not stop the team from beating teams from countries like Canada to clinch 2nd place in the Championship.

there's a champion, and we're next to them. How is that being 3rd? Tard.

@curashag

I seriously doubt your capability in doing any sport, so what gives you the right to insult the national team?
