Buying a home in Beijing has gotten more expensive, so a man decides to build his own with strips of bamboo and sawdust, by the side of the road.
STOMPer zarzarboi shares:
"Dai Hayfey, 24, decorates his egg-shaped hut with strips of bamboo inside, and covers the exterior of his house with sacks of sawdust as insulation.
"Inside, there is a bed, a small bedside table and lighting. He goes to a nearby pool for a shower and uses the toilet from a nearby cafe.
"He spends about 6,400 yuan on his hut (about SGD 1,200), which is cheaper than the rental for a room he used to pay, which cost him 900 yuan (about SGD 168).
"And best of all, his new hut is located in front of his office.
"Of course, it helps that Dai Hayfey graduated of the architectural institute with a diploma designer.
"It's definitely very creative, if only we can do this in Singapore!"
