This underground town has a bookstore, a church and even a swimming pool
No one would want to live underground if given a choice because it sounds like the living conditions would be dirty, dark and cramped but somewhere in between Adelaide and Alice Springs in South Australia lies a town where almost everything is underground.
The opal capital of the world, Coober Pedy, produces the most opal in the entire world. The underground town has everything from shops to churches and even a swimming pool.
STOMPer penguin says:
"The town has a population of 4000 and about 80 percent of them live underground.
"The underground homes and churches are very pretty with their rose coloured sandstone walls.
"The town may be mostly underground they still have everything!
"You'd probably like living there in you like quaint houses."
