STOMPer Thomas got a pleasant surprise when he saw a flying lemur clinging onto the iron gate of his condominium unit in the Bukit Timah area yesterday morning (Jan 29).
Said the STOMPer:
"It was a rare encounter when a young flying lemur landed right at my front door yesterday morning (Jan 29).
"I was surprised to see this rare creature hanging on my iron gate.
"I was in time to snap a few photos to share with STOMP readers.
"Through a search on the Internet, the flying lemurs are found living mainly in the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve area.
"My condo (Bukit Regency) is located near there, so this young flying lemur might have lost its way home and ended up being here.
"Or could it be that with the rapid housing projects coming around Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, these rare animals are being forced out of the forest?
"This little creature was later taken away by the condo security staff.
"I wish the lovely flying lemurs will not become extinct one day."

Besides, the colugo is a specialist that feeds only on leaves of certain forest trees; even zoos have been unable to keep them in captivity.

Or if anyone finds and capture it also can sell to me :p
Just a thought, is it better to trap it first and get help to release back into nature, or leaving it there and risk being chased by cats or dog, before help arrives? Of course, if able to DIY, it'll be the best.
