Oops, women find themselves trapped in standby train at Paya Lebar Interchange

These two women boarded the Circle Line train at Paya Lebar Interchange, only to be trapped inside because it was put on standby.

STOMPer Ng recounted the incident:

"On Dec 22 at 7:34pm, SMRT staff told the passengers in the train which arrived at the centre track at the Paya Lebar MRT station that the train was going into standby.

"There were no announcements made over the loudspeakers, just the staff telling passengers that they had to alight from the train, as it would not be travelling back towards Marymount station.

"What was shocking to me was that they did not realise that there were two ladies in the train who did not get the message and they closed the door and sent the train into standby.

"The two of them were trapped in a standby train."

I fully agree with stomper hui as a security officer one must be vigilant and ready for any treats so by using her mobile phone while on duty is wrong and if her superior wants to relay any msg to her or anyone he or she should know the proper procedure in doing so. Image is the out most importance and by doing what she did while on duty she had tarnished the image of The company.

As a punishment for not being alert to train staffs instruction, they have to wash the train at the Depot. hahahah
