More and more videos of women crushing small animals to death have been surfacing online. Sources suggest that the women in China are paid to shoot these videos for overseas customers who have a fetish for such videos.
In one such video, a woman clad in a short skirt and boots is seen caressing a white rabbit on a couch, before going on to crush the animal under her heels.
The woman even smiled at the camera, with the dead animal dangling from her stiletto heel.
Rabbits and kittens have been the victims of graphic cruelty.
According to an article STOMPer Ben Yuen found online, the women may be paid to post these videos online.
These videos, known as crush films, are apparently done for paying customers who have a fetish.
Women who post their videos online get paid 6,000 yuan (about S$1,200).
Here are some translated excerpts from the article:
"The women involved are crushing animals and filming the videos for sale to viewers overseas.
"Those who take part in the video filing can earn at least 6,000 yuan for one shoot.
"All apologies made by these women have been fake and lies have been used as excuses for some of their behaviour.
"They are all part of this violent group and their apologies have been made to avoid further public scrutiny".
