Fight fire with style: Local designers turn fire extinguishers into art

STOMPer Raymond was wowed by these appealing fire extinguishers created by local designers to challenge the traditional design of fire extinguishers.

Said the STOMPer:

"I was at Tangs when I saw these great-looking fire extinguishers.

"Now we do not have to make do with those ugly-looking traditional fire extinguishers.

"The employees there were also very helpful and patient in explaining how to use them.

"They also mentioned that these are new products by a local company which worked with local designers for the artwork.

"Thumbs up to this great product!"

I bought 2 of them this evening at tangs. Was surprise that this idea and design is by Singaporean. The price is reasonable and it looks cool in my house. Gave 1 to my parents and they commented that it was unexpected that Singaporean could come out with such idea to make it look not so boring and old fashion. Whoever had design or come up with this idea..... we are so proud of you. We will definately support and inform our friends about your products. Good job :)

Price guess is reasonable, for this kinda lifestyle thingy idea and yet practical. Guess with the shelf life and break it down to the cost, it's worth spending from safety aspect point of view... Hhmmm, can consider. Great idea for gift too... Lol :)

I bought one of this stuff 1 month ago for my friend's house warming. I find them unique and practical and my friend love it. If I am not wrong the extinguisher come with 2 years warranty. Good Investment!

excellent work on the art piece! and Finally an old existing product re-designed to suit the new generation. At least we now have designed extinguisher from the traditionally old boring ones. Singapore is becoming better in the art scene.Anyway HOW many of us really do have such things at home/car.Do you want to wait for the Fire fighters to come, while u watch ur stuff burn? Good Job on this one! I guess we could be seeing more designs in the future. Cheers

I guess most of home owners do not actually realise it is very important to have basic preventive safety items at home such as fire extinguishers. Especially if there are children & elderly at home. Most believe accidents only happen to others and not to them.. With these beautiful products, it will actually get the attention of the public & make them realise they do actually need these safety products for their homes.. Very innovative for their part..
