Security guards at Marina Barrage have a tough job, says STOMPer NinjaGaidenSigma, who noticed that they are made to wear an impractical uniform unsuited for the hot and humid Singapore weather.
As these guards are stationed outdoors, they tend to perspire in their uniforms, making it hard for the public to respect their instructions.
The sender suggests changing the uniform to a polo tee so that guards can work comfortably and look respectably smart at the same time.
In an email, the sender says:
"Sometimes the weather can be scorching even at night and you can see them sweating because either their supervisor or the client is making them suffer by wearing the wrong type of outfit for such an open location like Marina Barrage.
"Back then,, I recall they used to wear the dark polo t-shirts (which also makes them presentable) but now they are reduced to a joke that no one takes seriously should someone commit an offence like smoking.
"If Cisco wants them to continue working, they should provide those hard-working guards with polo t-shirts so they can keep themselves presentable and cool in this humid country of ours.
"My hats off to these guys even though the heat is making them sick".

I find no relationship between what the guard wear and dishing out instructions to the public.
Nonetheless, I do find the stomper suggestion of them wearing a polo T-shirt as a good one.
