STOMPer Sanctuary was granted the chance to participate in an E-lucky draw courtesy of NTUC FairPrice. However, the 12-digit lucky draw number means that the odds of winning any prize are one in three hundred over billion.

Sanctuary tells us more in his email (Sep 8):

"I recently bought over $30 worth of merchandise from NTUC FairPrice and was given an E-lucky draw bearing a 12-digit number 0303260815967.

"Just imagine, the odds are 1 in 300 over billion to win a prize, the value of which I doubt would exceed the 7-digit Singapore Big Sweep top prize of $2.2 million.

"Might as well not take part. There's no hope of winning a prize."

12 digits doesn't mean anything. it can be 20 digits for all you care. the number of digits doesn't mean there are so many tickets out there. there could be 1000 20 digit tickets which makes 1 in 100 chances.

a receipt number starting 1000 doesn't mean you're the 1000th customer. many receipts don't start 0001. like your IC number, there isn't 0000000 or 0000001

Hello Bluehawk and others who contributed negative and harsh comments. I know very well that the world's population could not be over 300 billion. Neither would any sensible organization print 300 billion tickets just for one single draw. A fool will know that. What I am trying to say is that it is ridiculous to issue lucky draw tickets with 12 positive digits, comparing to our Big Sweep with only 7 digits.
