STOMPer Keith's 3-year-old Honda Stream suddenly burst into flames while he was driving along the TPE and within 20 minutes, the entire car was charred black and almost beyond recognition.

Over the phone, Keith reported what happened:

"My Kah Motor Honda Stream caught fire while travelling along TPE.

"The engine suddenly caught fire so I pulled over and called the fire department.

"But by the time they arrived, my car was totally burnt. It took only 20 minutes.

"I was told that cars have caught fire along that stretch of road.

"The investigator of my case said it was most likely an electrical fire that started in the engine.

"But I have heard that this is not the first Honda Stream to catch fire, so I hope that anyone who can offer any helpful information can respond to this post.

"Since it is under warranty, I wonder what Kah Motor can do. I had no major problems with the car before this.

"However, I believe that the agent will probably deny it is their fault unless I can prove it so. But with the car burnt to such a degree, I don't know if we can find anything.

"I hope to get some help because I am at a loss."

It's one of my favorite car that I wish to own....mine is a Honda Fit for 5 years now. Absolutely no problem, probably you have modified something as it's been 3 years since you are driving. It can't be Kah Motors problem I guessed.

Or you have accidentally placed something that is easily get fuelled up in your car ?

If you have car servicing recently, you can show to your insurer and get compensation. But bearing in mind, your next insurance premium will be damned high !

Though it is an unlucky event, but you are unhurt....just be grateful as monies can be earned later ya !

I am not sure whose fault is it, but after hearing similar incidents seems it is driver fault.
A few days ago a BMW also caught fire on road, when asked driver he said oil was leaking from his car and he was heading to workshop to have it fixed. I never see such a stupid person, why he was not able to call tow service?

I dun think it got anything to do with Japanese product been not reliable. I think is the car owner themselves, who puts in so much to illegally modified their cars. That could be 1 of the major course of the problem.
