Strange sight: Man burns paper at traffic light

STOMPer Violett was stumped when she saw this man burning paper at a traffic light in Ang Mo Kio.

She describes what she saw:

"I was surprised to see this man burning paper at the traffic light near Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3.

"I wonder is this some kind of tradition?

"I'm curious to know the meaning of this. If anyone knows , please share this knowledge with me?

"By the way, sorry for the poor quality of the picture."

Why he burn paper?

Answer:1 month to hungry ghost festival.He scare that the 'ghost' will haunt him.In order to show some 'respect' to the ghost,he burn paper.(He wasted trees!)
